Trunk

What’s in My Trunk

Hey there, fellow house hunters and curious minds! Today, we’re about to embark on a thrilling expedition into the enigmatic realm of a realtor’s trunk, my trunk. What’s in my trunk? Spoiler alert: it’s not just filled with contracts, pens, markers and business cards. So, buckle up (or should I say lockbox up) for the wild ride that is the inner sanctum of a real estate professional’s chariot!

Zip Ties Extravaganza:

As we crack open the trunk, the first thing that catches our eye is a kaleidoscope of zip ties. Now, we’re not talking about your garden-variety, run-of-the-mill zip ties – oh no. These are the Swiss Army knives (yes one of these are here, too!) of the real estate world. Whether fixing a loose sign, organizing unruly cables, or giving an impromptu wardrobe adjustment to a client’s for-sale sign costume party, zip ties are the unsung heroes of the realtor toolkit.

Binocular Bonanza:

“Is that a bird? A plane? No, it’s a potential buyer peering out from behind the bushes!” Binoculars, folks – the essential accessory for any realtor with a flair for the dramatic. Because you never know when you’ll need to scope out the competition or just get a closer look at that charming squirrel on the neighbor’s roof. Maybe it’s just to check the roof condition. It’s all about attention to detail, right?

Tape Tales:

Now, what self-respecting realtor doesn’t carry an assortment of tapes that rival a stationery store’s inventory? Duct tape, masking tape, washi tape – you name it, they’ve got it. Need to fix a ‘For Sale’ sign that braved a gusty wind? Tape. Forgot wrapping paper for a last-minute housewarming gift? Tape. Emergency mustache for a playful listing photoshoot? You guessed it – tape to the rescue! Duct tape – It fixes anything that isn’t supposed to move.

Hook, Line, and Realtor:

What’s a trunk without a collection of hooks that would make a pirate jealous? These trusty hooks aren’t just for hanging up coats; they’re for showcasing your real estate prowess. From the moment you step into a property, you’re hooked – pun intended – on finding the perfect home for your clients. And if the occasional curtain needs adjusting or a festive banner demands attention, well, these hooks have got you covered.

Accessories:

Lightbulbs – because they are always burning out. Switch plate covers – please make those white and actually have one. Batteries – Nothing like a smoke detector beeping all through the open house. Speaking of: Spare smoke detector – those appraisers show up and you need to be ready!. Measuring tape – know the size of that room. Need some toilet paper? That’s here, too! Let’s not forget the flat shoes, blanket, snacks, and water.

Dog Supplies:

Because, my pet, your pet, any pet I come across.  I need to have water, treats, a leash, water bowl and toys!

Lockbox Lollapalooza:

Last but certainly not least, we stumble upon a trove of lockboxes. A realtor’s equivalent of a treasure chest, these lockboxes hold the key – quite literally – to the kingdom of real estate. Need access to a property at the drop of a hat? Lockbox. Want to impress clients with your secret-agent entrance? Lockbox. Forgotten your lunch, and the only solution is to eat the metaphorical key to success? You got it – lockbox.

So there you have it, folks – what is in a Realtor’s trunk. It’s a magical place where zip ties, binoculars, tape, hooks, and lockboxes coexist in harmony, ready to tackle any real estate adventure with flair, finesse, and a touch of humor. Next time you spot a realtor on the road, give them a nod of appreciation for the mini circus they’re hauling in their trunk – it’s all in a day’s work for we wizards of the housing market and ask them to show you a house!
